This month I wrote 18,642 words, giving me a yearly total so far of 37,398.  If you notice, that means I wrote more in April than I wrote in the first three months of the year.  Not bad.  I’m also pretty close to halfway to my goal of 80,000 words this year.  Also not bad.

What makes that even more surprising, is that there were two days where I didn’t write at all.  One was because I was sick and just couldn’t do anything, and the other was because I was taking it easy.  I’d just written thirty stories in twenty-eight days, so give me a break.  So I still have seventeen non-writing days left this year.

I didn’t write any chapters for my novel None of Them Knew the Color of the Sky.  My plan is to get back into that while I work on my third story collection, Political Pies, which I hope to have out in October.  So we’ll have to see how that goes.

You’ll forgive me for not writing a story this month for the newsletter.  I was busy.  😀  But I will try to have one for next month.
